The local election results were bad for the Green Party. Our support nationally fell by 40%. In Cabra/Glasnevin we managed to hold the vote at the same level as 2004. In the national context this was an impressive achievement. I would like thank all those who supported my campaign and all of you who voted for me. I plan on continuing on working in the local community and look forward to meeting you on the doors soon.
Making Dublin bike friendly

The Green Party launched a ten point plan for improving cycling facilities in Dublin City. The plan proposes a 30 kph speed limit across the city centre and on residential streets so that more adults and children can cycle in safety. For the plan to work we need Green Party councillors on Dublin City Council. For more information, click here.
Government must declare abuse deal void
Over the past week we have all been shocked at the scale of the abuse uncovered by the Ryan Report. As a result of that report the 2002 deal between the State and the relevant religious orders must be declared void by the government. For more information, click here.
